Overview of packages, their main differences, and maintenance costs

The Bank offers three current account packages—START, OPEN, and TOP—which differ in the range of services provided and the terms and conditions of the accounts.

The information below is provided solely as a general guide to help you assess the differences between the packages in relation to your use of banking services. Every client has unique needs, and the choice of package always depends on how you plan to use the account and related services. This is not intended as individual recommendation or advice.

START

The START package is designed primarily for clients who:

  • prefer an account with no monthly fee,

Key features of online account opening—limits for cards and direct banking

The process for opening a package online differs from the process at our Bank’s branch.

At our branch, when signing the contract, our banker would ask you about your limits:

  • for your payment card,
  • for your transactions made via direct banking,

primarily to protect your funds.

When setting up a package online, it is not possible to set these limits during the package opening process.
The Bank therefore issues payment cards and sets up direct banking with default limits.

These limits:

  • may not meet your individual needs or preferences,
  • may be higher or lower than what you would personally choose.

Once you've set up your package, you can adjust your limits at any time in the Smart Banking app.
We recommend that you review them and make any necessary changes as soon as possible after taking out the package.

What account is used to pay the fees

Fees for package maintenance, for card services not included in the selected package, and for the SMS Key service (if you choose to use this service) are debited from the main current account in CZK. It is therefore important to ensure that there is a sufficient balance in this account.

Additional transactions or less common services may be subject to fees in accordance with the Bank’s Price List and will be charged to the account to which the service applies.

Risks associated with insufficient funds in the account

If there are insufficient funds in your accounts to cover fees or other obligations you owe to the Bank:

  • a negative balance may occur,
  • late payment interest may be charged in accordance with the contractual documentation and the Bank’s Price List.

The right to withdraw from the contract and its consequences

If you enter into an account package agreement through online channels, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of entering into it.

Withdrawal from a current account package agreement always applies to the contract as a whole. It is not possible to withdraw only from certain parts of the contract or individual services included in the package (e.g., only the card, internet banking, or another specific service). Therefore, upon withdrawal from the contract, all current accounts and services included in the package will automatically be closed.

For detailed information on the withdrawal process, please visit the Withdrawal section of the Bank’s website.

7.1 Methods of withdrawal in the online environment

You may withdraw from the contract:

  • in the Smart Banking app, or
  • via the form on the Bank's website.

7.2 Differences between withdrawal in Smart Banking and on the website

  • Upon withdrawal in the Smart Banking app, you can specify the account to which any remaining balance should be transferred.
  • You do not have this option when withdrawing via the online form.

7.3 Settlement of balance upon withdrawal

If you have positive balances in multiple accounts within the package as of the effective date of the withdrawal, the Bank will proceed as follows:

  1. first, it transfers all balances from the individual accounts to the main current account in CZK,
  2. and then performs a single overall settlement from that account.

It also applies this procedure to balances held in foreign currencies, which may be subject to currency conversion in accordance with the contractual documentation and the Bank’s exchange rate rules.

7.4 Impact of withdrawal on related products

Some other products can be opened separately, but they are technically linked to the current account included in the package. If you sign up for such related product and then withdraw from your current account package agreement, the following situations may arise:

a) Products that cannot technically exist without a current account
For some related products, a current account is required. A typical example is a term deposit, which is technically linked to a specific current account.
In such a case, withdrawal from the current account package agreement will also result in the early termination of this product. A fee may be charged for early termination in accordance with the Bank’s current Price List.

b) Products that may continue to exist even after withdrawal from the package agreement
In the case of other related products that, while using the current account established as part of the package, may also exist independently (e.g., instalment loans), withdrawal from the package agreement does not automatically terminate such a related product. If you do not withdraw from such a product either, the Bank will provide a technical solution that will enable the continued fulfilment of the contractual obligations arising from the product, such as maintaining an internal non-payment account designated for loan repayment.
