UniCredit Bank continues its partnership with Galerie Rudolfinum in 2010

The economic crisis has forced many companies to limit their sponsoring activities. UniCredit Bank, however, has remained a loyal and now traditional supporter of prominent cultural institutions in the Czech Republic. Evidence of this long-term support is seen in the renewed year-round partnership with Galerie Rudolfinum, to which the bank has just provided financial support of CZK 1 million. As part of that cooperation, the bank became the main sponsor of the year's first exhibition-Herbert Tobias (1924-1982)-which runs from 14 January to 28 March 2010.

"Active support of the arts has become a tradition at UniCredit Bank. Given the current difficult situation, we want to assure our long-term partners that we are a stable sponsor of their activities," stated Tomáš Pavlík, Press Spokesperson of UniCredit Bank. This year, UniCredit Bank also will maintain its year-round partnerships with such other prominent cultural institutions as the National Gallery in Prague and The Moravian Gallery in Brno.

Through his photographs, Herbert Tobias, rebel and star of the German photography scene, became a legend in professional circles. This retrospective of his works, with its approximately 150 showpieces, is the hitherto largest presentation of the artist's diverse life-work. The exhibition was prepared by Berlinische Galerie. The core of the exhibition is the artist's most prolific and most interesting work from the 1950s and ‘60s.
