Fincentrum Bank of the Year: UniCredit Bank wins with its Personalised Konto Mozaika

The Personalised Konto Mozaika account from UniCredit Bank has been selected as a winner in the Account of the Year 2009 category of the Fincentrum Bank of the Year competition. Konto Mozaika finished in third position in the judging of the best accounts among all banks in the Czech market. The major advantage of Konto Mozaika is its possibility for the client to create a personalised account according to his or her specific needs and vision. From among 17 possible banking services, the client may choose 9 services for his or her CZK-denominated current account that best correspond to the client's requirements. With some small adjustments, the Personalised Konto Mozaika has been offered by UniCredit Bank since 2007.

"The Personalised Konto Mozaika is very much a favourite among our clients, and today it represents more than one-half of newly opened personal accounts at UniCredit Bank," noted Jaroslav Žahourek, Head of UniCredit Bank's Retail Division. He went on to explain that clients' most popular choices among those services offered are the possibility to make no-cost withdrawals at domestic and foreign ATMs within the UniCredit Group, 10 domestic electronic payment orders free of charge, receiving account statements by post within the Czech Republic, an embossed Visa Classic debit card, and maintenance of a second account denominated in CZK or a foreign currency.

In addition to the success of the Personalised Konto Mozaika, UniCredit Bank has come up a winner this year also in other competitions. For example, it took first place in the Best Bank 2009 survey that was announced by the daily financial newspaper Hospodářské noviny. The fourth-largest banking institution on the Czech market, it received the top recognition in this contest in view of the advantages for clients in its offer of products and services, as well as in consideration of the financial performance that it has achieved.
