UniCredit Bank will support Georg Baselitz exhibition at Galerie Rudolfinum

Georg Baselitz's work will be presented in Prague for the first time. UniCredit Bank became a prominent patron of this exhibition as part of its year-round partnership with Galerie Rudolfinum. The exposition will be open to visitors from 10 September to 6 December 2009 at Galerie Rudolfinum. UniCredit Bank has long supported prestigious art houses in the Czech Republic. In 2009, it is a partner not only of Galerie Rudolfinum but also of the National Gallery in Prague and The Moravian Gallery in Brno.

"We are pleased to be taking part in this unique event being held in the peak of the exhibition season and, moreover, which is once again accompanied by a comprehensive educational programme. We see this exhibition of Georg Baselitz's work as confirmation of a very high quality season at Galerie Rudolfinum and thus also of the inspired choice for our partnership," said Tomas Pavlik, press spokesperson of UniCredit Bank.  

The exposition of the neo-expressionist Georg Baselitz features an inspiring look at the work of one of the most eminent German painters of the 21st century.  The Galerie Rudolfinum show will be the first solo exhibition of the artist's paintings in the Czech Republic. Modern art fans will be able to view a cross-section of Baselitz's paintings from the period 1960-2008. The exhibition was organised in cooperation with Museum der Moderne Salzburg.
