Online Banking

Online Banking – UniCredit Bank’s internet banking system – is a modern direct banking product intended for individual and entrepreneurial clients who want efficiently, conveniently, and securely to manage their finances via the internet.

Note: The bank offers the so-called BusinessNet internet banking application to entrepreneurs and companies requiring connection with their accounting systems.

  • Modern, simple, flexible and secure access to your account anywhere and anytime with no installation whatsoever – All you need is a standard computer with internet connection and a security token (resembling a calculator) or mobile security token (SMS) to protect both your login to the application as well as the “signing” of active transactions.

Online Banking is a modern internet banking system enabling you to conveniently and securely manage your finances via the internet. All you need is a standard computer with internet connection and a security token (resembling a calculator) or mobile security token (SMS) to protect not only your login to the application but also the “signing” of active transactions.

You need not install any additional applications, and it is up to you where you want to manage your finances – whether from the comfort of your home, from your office, or from your notebook while travelling around the world.

This product offers you a wide range of services and functions that we divide into:

Passive operations:

  • summary of accounts and balances (including overdrafts) and history of account transactions – 15 months retrospectively 
  • summary of debit and credit cards (including details from account statements) and history of card transactions – 15 months retrospectively
  • summary and history of securities (including up-to-date valuation of a securities portfolio) – 15 months retrospectively
  • possibility to save templates for both domestic and foreign payments or for beneficiaries (for frequently recurring payments)
  • úp-to-date lists of exchange rates and interest rates
  • Sending information service - possibility to set up automatic delivery of banking information to your email (e.g. information on balances or movements in the account)
  • incoming/outgoing mail service – possibility to communicate securely with the bank through the internet banking application (including to send attachments)
  • my Menu service – possibility to create and change one’s own menu for working in the application
  • setup service – possibility to personalise the product. You can choose your preferred account (which is always displayed first in payments), a preferred card, etc.

  • domestic payment operations

    • domestic payments in CZK (standard/express)
    • direct debit orders in CZK
    • transfers between client’s own CZK accounts
    • “card payment” – a domestic payment with predefined details for regular payment on a credit card issued by UniCredit Bank
    • Standing order in CZK (establishing/changing/cancelling)
      • transfer of a fixed amount
      • transfer of an above-limit balance (you choose a limit and all funds exceeding it are regularly transferred to the chosen beneficiary account)
    • direct debit permission (establishing/changing/cancelling)
    • SIPO payment (establishing/changing/cancelling)
    • possibility to cancel a payment with future payment date (if not yet posted)
  • foreign payment operations

    • SEPA payment – a EUR-denominated noncash transfer between banks (in the EU and EEA) that have acceded to SEPA
    • standard payment abroad
    • europayment (parameters predefined by the application for payment within the EU)
    • conversions between client’s own accounts
    • payments in a foreign currency within the Czech Republic
    • payments by cheque abroad or within the Czech Republic
    • standing foreign payment order (establishing/changing/cancelling)
      • transfer of a fixed amount
      • transfer of an above-limit balance
  • term deposits

    (establishing/changing or cancelling for rollover term deposits)
    • MAXIM guaranteed deposit
    • one-time – for a fixed period without further rollover (cannot be changed or cancelled)
    • rollover – an automatically renewing term deposit
      • term deposits with a fixed amount
      • term deposits from an above-limit balance

You will be informed of the result of your request in a message sent within the application or by your personal banker who will contact you directly.

Possibility for individual settings by the user

As the account owner, you are able to limit individual users’:

  • active access to the account (a user can obtain only passive information about the account/card/security and cannot execute any payments)
  • payments in the Czech Republic, abroad, or both
  • payments to only those beneficiaries in a list defined by the account owner

Recommended technical parameters

  • Operating system: MS Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, Mac OS X 10.5 or higher*
  •  Internet browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or higher (support for version 6 will end 13 June 2010), Firefox 3 or higher, Google Chrome 4.0 or higher, Safari 3.0 or higher
  • Others: Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher (for printing in PDF format)* only with Safari 3.0 or higher

*only with Firefox 3.0 or higher

The bank does not guarantee proper functioning of Online Banking for operating systems and browsers other than those recommended here.

Note: Online Banking can be started in the Linux operating system in combination with the Firefox browser. Linux, however, is not a recommended operating system, and the bank does not guarantee functionality of the application in this case.

The bank places the highest emphasis on the security of direct banking products, defined as the group security standard for UniCredit Group.

  • SECURITY TOKEN – “strong security that fits in your wallet”

    • one of the highest security standards available today – the security token generates a unique (new) security code with each use
    • it provides secure login of the user to the application (authentication) - the bank will assign you a user number at a branch, and the security token generates your security code
    • it provides for securely sending active transactions to the bank – the so-called “signing” (authorisation) of transactions
    • it is used for user verification when calling the Call Centre

How to use the security token?

  • use of the security token is protected by a PIN known only to the client. After it is entered, the display will automatically show the security code

MOBILE SECURITY TOKEN (SMS)

  • another security option is the mobile security token, whereby unique security codes are sent to your mobile telephone via SMS
  • this offers a higher standard of security than that provided by a security token. Messages containing codes also provide information on login details, transaction details and, if relevant, the number of transactions

OTHER SECURITY FEATURES

  • daily user limit
  • single-transaction user limit for operations performed through internet banking (thus not allowing payments above the determined limit)
  • encryption of data communications – secures data during transmission

Conditions for providing the Online Banking product include having a current account maintained at UniCredit Bank, concluding the Contract for Using Direct Banking Products, and drawing up an Order to Set up Direct Banking Products.
