GSM Banking – UniCredit Bank’s mobile banking system – is a direct banking product intended for individual and entrepreneurial clients who want flexibly to manage their accounts through their mobile phones.

GSM Banking is a simple and secure method of managing finances through an application uploaded by the bank to your mobile phone menu (on the SIM card) and is supported by the three leading mobile operators (T-Mobile, Telefónica O2, and Vodafone).

This product offers you a wide range of services and functionalities divided into:

Passive operations:

  • Summary of movements and balances on your account
  • Information on currency exchange rates
  • Information on interest rates for term deposits

Active operations:

domestic payment operations

  • domestic payments in CZK
  • fixed amount standing orders in CZK (establishing, cancelling = terminating rollover)

foreign payment operations

  • conversions between client’s own foreign currency accounts
  • term deposits (establishing/changing or cancelling an unchanging rollover deposit)
  • recharging a prepaid card of mobile operators (Telefónica O2, T-Mobile, Vodafone)
  • option to set up delivery of balance information

    • customer of Telefónica O2, T-Mobile or Vodafone
    • mobile phone supporting the SIM ToolKit technology
    • a banking SIM card (a card supported by the SIM Toolkit technology)

    The bank places the highest emphasis on the security of its direct banking products, and therefore the GSM Banking product is protected by several levels of security:

    • login and sending active transactions are secured by the so-called BPIN (MPIN for Vodafone) that you have chosen
    • data communications between your mobile phone and the bank are encrypted
    • there is a daily limit for operations made via mobile banking (thus not allowing payments above the determined limit)

    Conditions for providing the GSM Banking product include having a current account maintained at UniCredit Bank, concluding the Contract for Using Direct Banking Products, and drawing up an Order to Set up Direct Banking Products. We will activate the banking application on your SIM card at any business location.
